FAQ

How do I take CBD Oil?

This is a question that gets asked a lot and is a good one to ask.

We want to make sure you get the correct amount of drops you want to take, and also that you do no waste any oil.

Firstly CBD oil is to be taken underneath your tongue. This way it gets directly into your bloodstream and is the easiest and quickest way to take it.

Take upto 3 drops under your tongue and leave for 60 secs before swallowing.

Do not consume more than 9 drops per day (70mg in 24hrs). This is based on an Adult weight of 70kg. If you weigh lighter or heavier, you may have to adjust the amount your take to suit your own body weight.

One drop is a tiny drop that falls from the pipette. Not the whole pipette, as this has been mistaken and taken as a drop before.

ONE DROP =💧

One drop has 7.5mg of CBD.

TIP: Watch the drops fall under your tongue by using a mirror to watch the drops come out the pipette. This was you will only take the amount you need and we stop any extra drops or wastage of the oil also.

Will CBD Oil Make Me High?

The short and easy answer to this is no. Most CBD oils (at least the ones that we sell) will not make you high. There are two main cannabinoid compounds that are produced by the cannabis plant: CBD & THC. While CBD is not psychoactive, THC is and can alter your state of mind. It is what is responsible for the rush of euphoria which is associated with a ‘high’. Down to its psychoactive properties, THC is prohibited by the misuse of drugs act 1971 and therefore illegal for sale and possession in the UK.

All of the CBD oils that we sell have been fully lab tested and contains less than 0.01% THC which is the UK’s legal limit. This is such a small amount that it would be very hard to get high!

Fun Fact: CBD actually counteracts the psychoactive effects of THC- so even if you do consume lots of THC, CBD regulates your body’s response to the ‘high’.

Can I Drive After Taking CBD Oils?

Secondly, we are asked whether you can drive while/ or after taking a CBD supplement. The answer is of course yes! THC, being psychoactive, can impair your decision making, depth and time perception, motor controls and cognitive ability- CBD does not have any impact/ or affects any of these things in the same way. Taking a CBD supplement will not affect your ability to do anything unless there is a high percentage of THC (or CBN for that matter, which is another less common psychoactive cannabinoid)

Will I fail a Drug test?

We only provide a CBD with no or trace of THC, so there is no risk of failing a Drug test using or CBD Products. Full Spectrum CBD is the only CBD that could provide a potential to fail a drug test, and this is why we do not sell or use this type of CBD. You are very safe and worry free using our products.

How long until I feel effects of CBD?

As you could imagine everyone is so difference and will feel different effects much sooner than others. In general some women have reported they felt effects immediately, and some felt effects in 2-3 weeks. Please do allow the CBD to get into your system before giving up in it. Ache and pains have been reported to take the longest, sleep and anxiety are generally the quickest symptoms it helps. We are here to help with dosage and getting you the best from our CBD products, so please reach out if you find it isn't working effectively as you would like, we could help. Unfortunately CBD may not be suitable for everyone or may not be effective for everyone. We cannot make any guarantees that CBD will work for you. Like many other natural or herbal supplements on the market, their effective from one person to another will vary.  We unfortunately cannot accept returns if it doesn’t not work for you.

CBD isn’t working for me?

Are you expecting to feel something after taking CBD straight away?

You’re expecting, or you’ll feel a buzz, similar to a taking like a painkiller for instance?

This expectation isn’t going to happen 99% of the time; CBD and its companion cannabinoids don’t affect us in that way. They’re non-intoxicating. They could, in some cases, give a sense of calm, relaxation, or what’s known as a “body high.” But, you’re not going to get “stoned” unless you take high doses containing THC.

Many people report CBD doesn’t make you feel something; it’s more what you don’t feel. It takes away feelings of discomfort or anxiety. Leaving you with less pain & tension, resulting in the sense of wellness and relaxation. It can be subtle but profoundly powerful.

Just like most pharmaceuticals and other supplements, CBD takes time to work. Only a handful of users experience immediate benefits, and often-times they taper off quickly. If you go in with the expectations for it to work immediately, you will probably be disappointed. This unfortunately leads to many thinking that CBD does not work at all.

Instead, give it some time. It can take up to a month or more, and the benefits are often subtle at first and come on gradually. You may first realize it’s working when you skip a dose and notice a recurrence of symptoms. With CBD, it’s often all about what you no longer feel, rather than what you feel.

Strength & Dosage

CBD is very individual, so trial and error will undoubtedly be required. It is difficult to give dosing advice to each individual, as each person will require a difference dose that works for them.

However, many sources and consumers report that a reasonable starting dose would be between 10-50mg per day, while others state upwards of 70mg a day. So, again this would be for you to trial and error to find out what works for you.

Remember, what works for one person may not work for you. Biology, metabolism, diet, exercise will affect each person’s response to CBD.

TIP: Try spreading your intake out across multiple times a day. Gradually Increase your dose each day until you feel comfortable. You may need less; you may need more. Adjust as you see fit.

Length of Time

While some consumers report they receive almost immediate benefits from CBD, many people say it can take a few weeks to a few months before they start to feel the benefits. Why?

CBD interacts with your endocannabinoid system. Our bodies are filled with neurotransmitters & receptors (CB1 CB2), mostly primed to interact with cannabinoids. However, due to varying reasons, some people have deficient ECS that take time to “active” to a level where cannabinoids and the ECS interact at a level high enough to create change within.

Our endocannabinoid system is active even if we do not use cannabis. Our bodies produce endocannabinoids naturally, which are different from cannabinoids found in cannabis.

The two main identified endocannabinoids are,

  • anandamide (AEA)
  • 2-arachidonoylglyerol (2-AG)

Scientists around the world are still trying to understand the ECS fully. Nevertheless, studies report our ECS is responsible or partially responsible for vital human functions and processes such as:

  • Your cardiovascular system
  • Neuroprotection and muscle movement
  • Stress Responses and sleep regulation
  • Reproductive systems
  • Mood, memory and social behavior
  • Digestive processes
  • Inflammation and pain perception

Give yourself time, adjust your doses up, and try to keep a journal of your daily doses and any changes. You’ll soon find your sweet spot once your ECS is in balance. Again, it’s very personal; one size doesn’t fit all.

One important note to mention. is CBD lotions, CBD creams, CBD salves may not be working due to the lack of activity from your ECS. To get best results from CBD lotions, creams & Salves is to also supplement your daily use with a CBD oil. Taking a CBD oil will activate your endocannabinoid system from the inside out, increasing the topical benefits.

Tolerance, Genetics & Metabolism

As with Strength, dosage, and timescales, you may find you have a high tolerance naturally, which could be genetic driven or metabolism controlled. If this is true, you’ll likely want to increase your dose and take a little more time. Only you can work that out. Stick with it, make sure you have a quality tested product, and you’ll soon enough find the relief you’re seeking.

If you’ve been taking CBD for some time and it’s suddenly stopped working. You may have reached your tolerance level. You can fix this by taking a reset break for a few days and going back to your regular dosing regimen. Reset breaks have been reported as a useful strategy with CBD consumers.

TIP: If CBD suddenly stopped working, try taking a reset break for a few days & return to your regular regimen.

How long does a bottle last?

In general a bottle lasts between 4 to 8 weeks depending on your own usage. We would recommend taking the oil while watching in a mirror, this was you can see the tiny drops coming out of the pipette and waste is kept to a minimum. It is easy to squeeze too many drops if you cannot see them. This will make the oil last longer and make sure you are getting the correct dose.
